2015: A Year in Photographs
I'm always blown away by how much can happen in a year. In 2015 I made the transition from part-time to full-time photographer. (After 6 years of the side hustle I'm never looking back!) I'm proud of that transition and I love how it provides me with time to give full attention to my clients. The end of 2015 also marks two full years for me in Chicago - I can't believe how fast it has gone and at the same time I feel like I've always been living here in my heart ;)
In 2016 I hope to do a few things differently and I hope to keep doing the things I did right this past year. This coming year I want to release a separate portfolio of non-wedding work. I want to do more personal work specifically relating to women and identity. I want to travel (which I will be doing at the beginning of the year for 6 weeks!) I want to teach about the photo experience as it relates to weddings and I want to slow down a little and be more present with where I'm at and not be so impatient. Ha.
Below are some of my favorite moments from 2015. They are honest, endearing and imperfectly candid - and that's how I like it! Cheers to all that 2016 holds.
